Terms and conditions

Please see the terms below for hiring Perfect Images as a photographer. If you have any questions please contact me.

All sessions will come with a box stating that you have read the terms for your session. These terms are the same as a contract and agreeing to the terms when booking means that you agree with the terms of your session. If you have any questions about the terms before you complete your booking, please reach out to me before agreeing.

Mini Sessions 

Mini sessions are offered only a few times per year. These are 20 minute sessions that include 10 edited photos. The groupings for the sessions can vary but the most common are; Whole family together, whole family moving, mom and kids, dad and kids, kids together, kids individually and mom and dad together. Other photos can be taken at the request of the client if there is time. Additional photos above the included 10 can be purchased by the client at a price negotiated with the photographer. Photos will be ready within 21 days of the session and will be delivered as digital files in an online gallery. Sessions are 20 minutes in duration and booked in 30 min increments. The client will be instructed to be ready to go at least 5 minutes before the start of their session. Late attendance will cut in to the time allotted for the client. More than 10 minutes late and the session will be cancelled. Full payment is due at the time of booking which includes a $100.00 deposit. If the session is cancelled by the client with less than 3 days notice then the $100.00 deposit will be forfeited but the remaining amount will be refunded. If the session is cancelled with less than 3 days notice or cancelled due to being too late for your session, the entire fee will be forfeited. If the session is cancelled by the photographer due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, illness or other, the photographer will have an alternative date booked. If the alternative date does not work or is again cancelled by the photographer, the full fee will be refunded including the $100.00 deposit.

Portraits

Portraits can be done at any time of the year. The location can be located anywhere in the Cold Lake area within 15 kms of the city limits. If the location is further then 15 kms, a travel fee may be added. Travel fees are located at the bottom of this page. I do not have a studio so if indoors is preferred then it will be the client’s responsibility to book the location and to get proper permissions at such location. Depending on the familiarity of the location, the photographer might need to visit the location prior to the session. I will make some suggestions at that time if things need to be moved or where the best lighting is. It is up to the client to decide if they want to take my suggestions and the photographer is not responsible for the quality of the photos due to poor lighting or location. Portrait sessions are around an hour and a half to 2 hours long but are not rushed as they are not booked back-to-back like the mini sessions. This allows time for wardrobe change and discussions about how the session is going and to review poses and shots already taken. Portrait sessions start at $400.00 and go up from there depending on what the client wants. Included are 15 edited pictures that are to be delivered in digital form on an online gallery. A $150.00 non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time with the remainder due 5 days prior to the session. Hair and make up as well as wardrobe are the responsibility of the client but must be ready before the scheduled time of the session. Because more work goes into a portrait session before the actual session, if the session is cancelled by the client with less than 10 days notice, the deposit will be forfeited. If the session is cancelled within 5 days of the session the entire fee will be forfeited. If the session is cancelled by the photographer at anytime before the start of the session the entire fee will be refunded including the deposit.

Branding sessions

Branding sessions can be booked at anytime of the year. The location will most likely be at your business or home if it is a home-based business. The price for these sessions starts at $350.00 and require a $150.00 non refundable deposit at the time of booking with the remainder due 5 days prior to the session. Shortly after booking the photographer will be in touch with you to book an inhouse visit to discuss the details of your shoot and to visit any locations and such so that the can properly prepare for the day of. I will make some suggestions at that time if things need to be moved or where the best lighting is. It is up to the client to decide if they want to take my suggestions and the photographer is not responsible for the quality of the photos due to poor lighting or location. If the client cancels the session with more than 15 days before the shoot, it can either be rescheduled or a full refund issued. If the client cancels the session within 7 days the deposit will be forfeited. If the client cancels the session within 5 days the entire fee will be forfeited. If the photographer cancels the session within 14 days of session, including the day of, a full refund including the deposit shall be returned. If products are the focus of this session, then the photographer will need to see the product before the session as well. If the location is more than 15kms outside of Cold Lake then a travel fee will be charged. Travel fees are listed at the bottom of this page.

Headshots

Headshots are to be done at the home or business of the client. It may be possible to complete at the residence of the photographer but that will be determined at the time of booking. The photographer does have a portable studio kit with lighting and backdrop for on location sessions. Headshot sessions are usually 30 minutes and will include 5 edited photographs. Photos will be edited to a final product with feedback from the client. Because the fee is so low for these sessions, the entire fee of $150.00 is due at the time of booking which includes the $75.00 non refundable deposit. If the session is cancelled by the client within 10 days of the session the deposit will be forfeited. If the session is cancelled by the client within 5 days of the session, the entire fee will be forfeited.

Real estate photoshoot

Real estate photos for MLS or to list your house for sale are only done through Robin Tobias Real Estate by contacting robintobiasrealestate.ca Private real estate photos for rentals or for designers/developers can be booked without the use of a real estate agent. Real estate shoots usually include multiple edited photographs as needed and can have aerial drone and video added for an extra fee. 

Travel fees

Due to the rising fuel costs and inflation, it is no longer reasonable to include the Lakeland area as one fee. Fees are listed below but may vary for rural or special locations. Fees start at 15 kms outside of Cold Lake. Below are the fees for the main hubs for a reference;

Bonnyville – $60.00

St. Paul – $100.00

Pierceland – $45.00

Edmonton – $350.00

Calgary – $600.00 + hotel 

Banff – $800.00 + hotel

Jasper – $800.00 + hotel
